After the initial two years in Berlin, Chiara Erika Marzi intends to establish further branches outside Germany employing the concept and message of artMbassy. These artMbassys will be established as foreign project offices and temporary galleries which serve to expand the dialog there between artists and cultural sponsors. In 2006 artMbassy Rome was founded. The gallery in Berlin is the home base, functioning as an interactive network between the outposts. The goal is to create a platform for the Berlin artists and those involved with the other artMbassys. It will include contemporary perspectives on different artistic genres of both new and established artists. Besides the added value of the cultural enrichment there is a further important aspect: the artist is exposed to a new audience at home and abroad and develops contacts to art collectors and purchasers. The artMbassy enterprise was started by the German-Italian art historian Chiara Erika Marzi from Rome in Berlin and is now supported by the curator Nicole Löser and invited guest curators. The team shares work and success – this modern und flexible method provides those involved with enough room for their own activities and further cultural projects. Each of them directs an exhibition in turn. The artMbassy thus provides a stage for individual viewpoints and at the same time is enriched by very diverse artistic perspectives.
